WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
All quality assurance management, inspection and test personnel, quality engineering, internal and external QA program auditors, procurement and supplier control personnel, and facility personnel (as well as contractors) with defined responsibilities and authorities for the effective implementation of the quality assurance program and requirements.

COURSE PURPOSE:
This course is designed for those concerned with assuring product, process, and program conformance to requirements by conducting effective, performance-based audits of the quality assurance program and improved performance. Experience has proven these techniques extremely useful for engineering, production, procurement, environmental, health, and safety management personnel and all those responsible for implementation of the quality assurance program and requirements.

The latest, state-of-the-art methodologies, practices, and techniques for audits/assessments are presented and discussed in detail to internal, on-site and contractor/supplier facility QA operations.

COURSE CURRICULUM:
The world-recognized "what and how" of actual on-the-scene audits of systems as designed and developed by Mr. L. Marvin Johnson, world pioneer in the Quality Audit.

Presentations will include an extensive overview and interpretation for audit of NQA-1: 2004. A comparison of this revision with NQA-1:1987 and 1994 will highlight the key differences applicable to organizations in accordance with DOE and supplier contractual requirements. 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR830.120 and their applicability will also be addressed as necessary.

Specially designed course exercises and case studies will follow the QA Program at crucial points in the flow of materials through a manufacturing/processing/storage facility. Management, design engineering, procurement, receiving and receiving storage, fabrication, special processes nonconforming material, document control, records management, environmental management, storage and shipping are studied in detail.

Through our group exercises, findings, concerns, and observations are analyzed, documented, reported, and communicated to appropriate management personnel, including the follow-up actions to assure effective corrective/preventive/improvement actions are taken and that they are determined to be effective for close-out.
