ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AUDITOR / LEAD AUDITOR TRAINING (3 DAYS)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
For all those concerned with the interpretation, implementation, maintenance, and audit of local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations applicable to the environmental aspects of their organization's activities, products, and services.

COURSE PURPOSE:
This course will present hands-on strategies for the development of an environmental audit program, including effective, proven methodologies and techniques for the auditor and audit process to ensure regulatory compliance.

NOTE: This course will meet and exceed your organization's identified training needs for ISO14001, 4.5.1, Monitoring and Measuring requirements that address, "documented procedures for periodically evaluating compliance with relevant environmental legislation and regulations".

COURSE CURRICULUM:
An overview of the following environmental laws and regulations will be presented and integrated within our auditor case studies and environmental audit protocol (to include, but not limited to):

  • Clean Air Act (CAA)
  • Clean Water Act (CWA)
  • Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)
  • Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA)
  • Hazardous Material Transportation Act (HMTA)

    ADDITIONAL COURSE TOPICS INCLUDE:

  • Guidance and use of environmental audit plans, protocol, and checklists;
  • Risk Assessment;
  • EPA policies and incentives;
  • The role of an environmental attorney;
  • Defining current and possible liabilities;
  • Protection of company officials;
  • Tracking compliance costs;
  • Investigations on an acquisition or merger;
  • Confidentiality and safeguard of audit findings and results;
  • Effective uses of audit results, including providing for management accountability, insurance information, and transferring information among sites.

    COURSE PRE-REQUISITE:
    It is strongly advised that all participants have educational and working experience with various environmental sciences and technologies, including previous studies in environmental policies, laws, and regulations.

    FEE:
    $885.00, which includes all student course materials and hand-outs, environmental auditor/lead auditor protocol and checklists with user's guidance, continental breakfast and afternoon refreshments, and certificate of successful course completion.

    SUBSTITUTIONS/CANCELLATIONS:
    There is no charge for sending a substitution if you are unable to attend the course. Cancellations received 10 days or less prior to the course start date are subject to the full course fee. Substitutions and cancellations may be made by phone, fax, email, or mail (if received within 10 days of the course start date.)

    DAILY SCHEDULE: (3 Days)
    8:00am - 4:30pm each day. There will be four(4) daily breaks - 9:20am, 10:30am, 2:20pm, and 3:30pm. Lunch will be from 12:00pm - 1:00pm each day.

    This course is available for presentation at your facility. A savings of up to 60% can be realized for in-house courses, "specifically tailored to your organizations unique requirements."
